Many diseases are caused by diet (eg, obesity) or the management of the critically depends on this (eg. renal failure). In commerce, there are industrialized food (clinical food), specially designed for the management of specific diseases (eg. diseases of the kidneys, urinary tract, liver, intestine, heart, allergies).
Of course, there are cases where these foods are not proving to be effective:
- The animal didn't prefer delicious and consumes only in combination with something else (eg. delicacy) or not at all.
- The laboratory tests indicate that the organism of the animal does not respond to the administration or in the overall treatment regimen.
- The animal suffers from two parallel pathological conditions (eg. inflammatory bowel disease and chronic renal failure), where there is no commercially available option, suitable for both cases.
- The animal follows a natural diet (raw, baked), and it's not easy/possible/desired transition in industrialized clinic food.
The commercial clinical foods is effective if the animal consumes only for. The addition of other food (eg. delicatessen) to strengthen the flavor is recommended only under expert guidance, so as to not affect the overall nutritional profile of the main diet. The natural commercial foods (raw, cooked) are intended for healthy animals, with the result that they can meet the specific nutritional requirements of a pathological condition.
Through the specialized nutritional guidance, it can be designed appropriate diet program, which will cover the nutritional needs of the animal and it will help the body to cope with the pathological condition in an optimal way.
